*accords

“Jean-David offered me the eponymous book by Madeline Miller. I wanted to capture the sensuality of the text, the "sense of words" that emanate throughout the pages. I envisioned a chameleon-like orange blossom on a bed of musks, alternately virginal and warrior-like, capturing all its nuances and complexity. I decided to pair it with the immortelle flower, with its characteristic warm and salty accents, a nod to the Mediterranean and a playful reference to the vulnerability of Achilles' heel. Geranium and moss give an impression of a fougère in disguised, alike the ambiguous feelings that unite the two heroes.”

Hero is something you become.

Before facing his fate at Troy, Achilles lived on Skyros, a windswept island flooded with light. He was not yet a legend, only a young man who hesitated, who loved, who feared, who burned.

It is in such fragile moments that the hero takes shape: where tenderness and fear coexist, where destiny is not endured but chosen. Vulnerability is not a weakness, it is strength in its first form.

Pale dawn, damp earth, the air holding its breath. You enter as you would a sanctuary with no doors, without taking, without claiming. Artemis watches where nature remains sovereign: appearing and withdrawing in the same movement.

She moves like the wind, felt, never held. A place where one breathes differently, where freedom is not learned, it is remembered.
